History and vision
Personal History
I was born in the city of Kyiv, Ukraine. Many of my family members are still in Ukraine and taking great risks to defend their country from invasion.
After studying law and building my professional career as a model, I moved to the United States where I met my future husband. My life changed forever because he made my dreams come true!
Dreams Come True
When I was In Ukraine I always had a dream of going to Disney with my family. Eventually I came to America and continued to imagine what it could be like to visit with my son. Many people I talked to wished me good luck, but Bahrem Tavadia made this dream come true when he said to buy the ticket.
He sponsored the trip for my son to join me from Ukraine, gave us a place to stay and inspired the idea that perhaps I could help others make this dream come true. Every time I can help someone else experience this dream, I relive this big happiness. I know what it feels like!
Lion King Tavadia Foundation Projects
The Lion King Tavadia Foundation has a long term vision to provide housing for women and children who are victims of abuse. We are especially interested in working with women's shelters and refugees. Right now we offer safety awareness and self-defense classes in partnership with existing programs. However, we also are beginning to lay the foundation for a program that offers women and their children a safe place to escape from violence and begin to rebuild a life.
